Restaurant Week is in full swing in the Meatpacking District! We took our lunch break at Spice Market. Do yourself a flavor and treat your palate to an unforgettable, exotic experience, without hopping on the plane!
Pre fix menus often get a bad rep, expected to be limited and lackluster. If Restaurant Week is your only opportunity to experience this express journey to Southeast Asia, know that you are in for their popular classics, such as chicken samosas, and beef steam buns. For lunch, you have a versatile choice between their Meat Menu, Seafood Menu, and Vegetarian Menu. My heart belongs to meat but even the vegetarian menu sold me and the Butternut Squash Soup failed at disappointing us.
Short Rib Steam Buns were our favorite! Three words to describe how much we enjoyed them... "Keep em' coming!"
Save room for dessert! Spice Market serves one of the most unique tasting desserts we've ever had. Who thought chocolate truffles could taste any better than by themselves? Bringing caramelized banana, caramel sauce, caramel popcorn, and whipped cream to the party makes a sweet indulgence. As full as I was I couldn't get enough of the Ovaltine Kulfi!
Spice Market offers a variety of selections for dinner as well as some Chef's choices for a slight upcharge. Megan says, "It's well worth it! I've never experienced Asian Fusion like this!" Restaurant Week or not this restaurant is incredible. Here on out, we consider a treat to self and Spice Market to mean the same thing!
